TVC-SM, Hi, my Nephews and I own a Moving and Storage company and have been moving families in Southern California since 1985. We have recently developed a product out of our own necessity to avert losses as a moving company. You see, when the flat panel TVs started showing up in our customer's houses, they didn't come with an instruction manual telling us how to safely move them. So, we moved them the same way that we had moved the older tube TVs, by wrapping them with a furniture blanket and loading them onto our trucks. However, we quickly discovered that furniture blankets can be slightly abrasive and can cause burns and scratching to appear on the TV's screen. During this time, we would confidently load these flat panels, onto our trucks, with the furniture blankets wrapped tightly around them. To our complete surprise, when we arrived at our destination, occasionally, we'd find that the vibration on the drive would cause items to rub up against the padded TVs and create burns and scratches on the screens. When this first happened we thought "oh, we'll just polish the burns and scratches till you don't notice them.....no big deal!" Well, we couldn't polish them away! So, we figured we'd just replace the screen..... how much could that cost?.......maybe $75 or so, no big deal, right?....Wrong! In most cases the screens cost more than the value of the TV! Well, after this happened several times and we had to buy our customers new TVs, we figured we had to come up with a better way to move these expensive items. That's when my Nephews and I came up with a great idea. Why not made a cover out of the same type of material used to clean these types of screens? So we did. Our product is a soft non-abrasive cover that has an elastic band that is sewn into a tract that boarders all four sides. It is contoured, like a fitted sheet, and the elastic allows it to stretch up, over and around the TV to create a snug fit. ...
